As we approach the holiday season and the close of another year, I want to take a moment to sincerely thank you for your continued support of the West Cook County Youth Club. Your generosity, encouragement, and belief in our mission make it possible for us to provide meaningful experiences and a safe, welcoming space for young people in our community—especially during this special time of year.
This December, the spirit of giving was on full display at the Youth Club. On December 10th, we were proud to partner with former Club member Jay Davis and his family, who helped us distribute more than 100 hats, 80 scarves, and 90 pairs of gloves to our members. That same day, we partnered with the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, who generously provided toys and gift cards for Club members and their younger siblings. The celebration included a DJ and delicious hot dogs and fries from Mickey’s, creating a festive and memorable evening for everyone involved.
We were also grateful to celebrate another special holiday moment on Tuesday, December 16th, when we partnered with Pastor James Glass and Family of Faith Ministries. Through their generosity, we were able to give away four bicycles and toys to 20 additional Club members, bringing joy and excitement to many young people just in time for the holidays.
As we navigate an ever-changing funding landscape, your support means more to us than ever. Whether through donations, partnerships, volunteering, or simply spreading the word about our work, you play a vital role in helping us serve the youth and families of our community.
On behalf of our staff, Board of Directors, and most importantly the families we serve, thank you for standing with the West Cook County Youth Club. We wish you and your loved ones a safe, healthy, and happy holiday season, and we look forward to continuing our important work together in the year ahead.
With gratitude and warm holiday wishes
