The West Cook County Youth Club’s Nehemiah Keefer Named a 2026 Player to Watch
The future of bowling is bright and one of its most exciting young talents is Nehemiah Keefer. Recently recognized by Bowlers Journal International as one of the 2026 Players to Watch, Nehemiah is quickly making a name for himself on the national youth bowling stage.
A Standout on the National Stage
Nehemiah has demonstrated exceptional skill and competitive poise in some of the sport’s most prestigious youth events. At the Junior Gold Championships, he earned the No. 1 seed in the U12 Boys division stepladder finals, going undefeated through match play before finishing as a national finalist. Competing against the best youth bowlers in the country, his performance showcased not only talent but maturity well beyond his years. Nehemiah’s success extends beyond individual competition. He was a member of the championship team “Dem Midwest Boyz” at the USA Bowling National Championships, contributing to a title-winning performance that highlighted his ability to thrive in team environments.
Adding to his growing list of accomplishments, Nehemiah has also achieved a perfect 300 game in league competition a milestone achievement that speaks to his dedication and skill development.

West Cook County Youth Club to Honor Local Mayors at Annual Spring Fling Dinner & Silent Auction
The West Cook County Youth Club is proud to announce that three outstanding community leaders will be honored at the Annual Spring Fling Dinner & Silent Auction on April 11, 2026.
This year’s honorees include Mayor Andre Harvey of Bellwood, Mayor Bob Lee of Berkeley, and Mayor Joe Tamburino of Hillside. Each will be recognized for their continued support of young people and families throughout our communities.
The Spring Fling Dinner & Silent Auction is one of the Youth Club’s signature fundraising events, bringing together community leaders, supporters, alumni, and friends to celebrate the Club’s impact on the youth and families it serves. The event will take place at The Empress, located at 200 Lake Street in Addison, from 5:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., and promises to be a memorable evening celebrating community partnership and a shared commitment to positive youth development.
Funds raised during the evening will directly support the Youth Club’s after-school and summer programs, which serve hundreds of young people each year.
