On the first day of April in 2023, the Empress Banquets in Addison bore witness to a lively, heartwarming gathering: the annual Dinner Dance and Silent Auction hosted by the West Cook County Youth Club (WCCYC). For the first time after the global pandemic, our cherished community came together for a night full of joy, camaraderie, and hope for a brighter future.
Our mission at the West Cook County Youth Club has always been about supporting and empowering the youth in our community, and this annual Dinner Dance serves as a testament to that commitment. This year, we were thrilled to welcome 170 guests who spent the evening dancing to great music, savoring delicious food, and placing bids in our Silent Auction.
The event was not just about fun and enjoyment, it also presented an opportunity for us to recognize the selfless contributions of long-time employee and volunteer, Patty Asaro. Her dedication and passion towards our mission over the years have been instrumental in shaping the lives of the many young people we serve. Patty, we salute you and thank you for your service.
What makes this annual Dinner Dance even more special is the tremendous impact it has on our initiatives. We’re proud to announce that the event raised over $25,000! These funds go directly towards our programs, allowing us to continue providing learning and growth opportunities for the youth in our community.
