Black History Month Program

On Thursday, February 28th, The Club hosted its annual Black History Month Program in the multipurpose room. Parents, guests, and club members enjoyed an inspiring event featuring singing, recitations, and speeches by club members.
A special highlight of the evening was an African dance performance by former Youth Club member and dance instructor Kristina Holmes.
During the program, we also recognized the winners of our Black History Month Kahoot Quiz Bowl, which took place on February 19th. We are incredibly proud of all our members who participated in both the quiz bowl and the program.
Well done, everyone!
Pink Takeover Basketball Skills Clinic

The West Cook County Youth Club partnered with two local nonprofits, Generation Now and We Just Look Like This, to host the Pink Takeover Challenge Basketball Skills & Drills Clinic for 25 club members on Saturday, March 15th.
Participants spent the first half of the program refining their dribbling, passing, and shooting skills. During the final 90 minutes, they competed in various skill contests designed to showcase their progress and engage in friendly competition.
All participants received medals and trophies and were treated to refreshments afterward. The Club extends its gratitude to Generation Now and We Just Look Like This for partnering with us to provide this exciting opportunity.
We look forward to collaborating on future activities!
